The Marines and Sailors pictured here are members of Third Battalion Twenty-Fifth Marine regiment whose units are located in Cleveland, Akron, and Columbus, OH and Buffalo, NY and Moundsville, WV. These Marines and Sailors were mobilized for active duty in December 2004 and deployed to Iraq in March 2005 for six months, returning in September of 2005. During their tour in Iraq the Battalion was almost continuously engaged in intense fighting, suffering 48 KIAs and over 200 WIAs.

The Three-Deuce-Five Marine Foundation was incorporated in November 2005 as a registered non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization to meet the unmet needs of the Marines and Sailors returning from the War on Terror.
